Maria

Floor Care Manager and Infection Control and End of Life Champion

Maria has been with Newgrange since 2002. Even during quiet times in the day, she will be found painting residents nails, giving hand massages, singing to the residents or simply sitting quietly with a resident, holding their hand and talking gently with them. As a manager she is a role model for demonstrating our 5 key values at Newgrange, especially when it comes to Compassion. She deals with residents and the team with equal amounts of kindness and respect.

Care Manager and Incontinence Champion

Angela is a native Italian speaker, so is able to communicate clearly with some of our Italian residents. She has been an integral part of our team for the past 5 years. Angela is an outstanding carer and leader, always putting the interests of the resident first.

She was Team Leader, she is now Kitchen Assistant

Sue is fully committed to striving for a home, where the residents live a fulfilling and purposeful life. We have been blessed to have Sue in our home since 2012. She is able to support in the kitchen as well as an outstanding Carer. Sue is a wonderful role model to all of the team of how to consistently promote dignity and respect and shows compassion to our resident’s and their families.

Senior Care Staff and bed Rail Champion

Dawn has been in the care industry for seven years and enhances the resident’s lives by her nurturing and calm nature. The residents and staff all appreciate having Dawn's presence in the home.

Charlie

Care Manager and medication Champion

Charlie keeps the home well organised, with her gentle and warm nature, she helps everyone feel calm and well cared for.

Sheila

Night Care Assistant

Sheila has been at Newgrange since 2019, she is one of our Night Care Assistants. She has a warm, bubbly personality which the residents connect well with.

Maria

Senior Care Staff and Enablement Champion

Maria is Portugese and speaks English as well. She is softly spoken and always quick to smile, which makes her an outstanding carer, who the residents adore.

Dumidu

Senior Care Staff and Dementia Champion

Dumidu is from Sri Lanka and was recently promoted to senior care staff. He is undergoing external training as our Dementia Champion.

Stacie

Head Chef/Nutrition Champion

Stacey believes fresh, home cooked food is the best and that good nutrition is crucial for care residents. Mealtimes are one of the highlights of the day.

Carly loves to get creative with the residents. It is lovely to see the sparkle she brings into the home with all of her creative sessions with the residents.
